Snapdragon Trail is a 2-mile out-and-back hike in Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, within the Carson Ranger District of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The trail starts at about 7,900 feet and climbs to a high point of 7,906 feet, with a total elevation gain of 899 feet over the round trip. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.8 miles in, where the grade reaches 15 percent. The most comfortable months for a visit are July and August, when typical averages from a nearby weather station in Incline Village run to highs around 76°F and lows near 50°F. That station sits roughly 1,550 feet below the trail, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The hike takes about an hour to complete. Twin Lakes Trail and Red House Flume Trail both lie about 0.3 miles away. Sand Harbor Boulder #1 and Sand Harbor are climbing areas about 2 miles off.
