Peavine Summit is an easy out-and-back hike in Nevada's Arc Dome Wilderness, part of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest's Austin-Tonopah Ranger District. The trail runs about 2.2 miles, with a total elevation gain of 456 feet, from a low point of 9,363 feet to a high of 9,784 feet at the summit. The route is on natural surface and allows horses, but not bikes. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail stays open from about June 15 through October 30. Several other hikes lie within a few miles, including Little Jett Creek at 2.7 miles, Peavine Canyon at 3.3 miles and Pablo Canyon at 3.7 miles. For an overnight stay, Peavine Creek Campground is about 9 miles away.
