Overlook Trail is a short, easy hike on land managed by the Bureau of Reclamation in Nevada, about 1.25 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 196 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, starting at a low point of about 3,951 feet and reaching a high of about 4,146 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Fallon show April highs around 67°F and October highs around 71°F, while July averages climb to about 96°F. The trail is on natural surface, and the Bureau of Reclamation's land unit is listed as "Usbr." Bikes and horses are not allowed. Petroglyph Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Hidden Cave Loop Trail is about 1.1 miles off. NAS Fallon Wetlands Nature Trail lies roughly 5.7 miles away.
