Four Day is an easy out-and-back hike of about a mile and a quarter in the Carson Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada. It is a short, low-elevation walk, with a high point of 5,625 feet and a low of 5,539 feet, and the route gains about 75 feet. The trail has a steepest section of about 10% at roughly 0.3 miles from the start, but it stays gentle overall. It works well as a short outing close to Carson City. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from the nearby Carson City weather station, which sits about 860 feet lower, run from highs near 70°F in May to around 81°F in September. Summer is hotter, with July highs around 90°F, and winter brings frequent cold days and snow. Several other hikes sit right next to it, including Bob's Trail, Evidence and Creek Trail, each about a tenth of a mile away. Climbers can head to the Carson City Area, roughly 1.8 miles off.
