Duckwater Road is a short, easy out-and-back hike on Bureau of Land Management land in Nevada, within the Bristlecone Field Office. The route is about 3 miles long, with a one-way climb of 109 feet and a total round-trip gain of about 250 feet. It is a low-elevation outing, with the road starting at roughly 5,645 feet and reaching a high point of about 5,657 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Lund, Nevada weather station show highs around 70°F in May and 78°F in September, while July highs reach about 88°F and winter lows drop to around 14°F.
