Biroth is a hard hike in Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, within the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is about 9.6 miles long as an out-and-back, with a one-way elevation gain of 947 feet. It starts at around 7,382 feet and climbs to about 8,707 feet. The trail is a natural-surface route, and horses are allowed, so it works for riders as well as hikers. The nearest town is Jarbidge, which serves as a base for exploring the surrounding area. Several other routes lie within a few miles, including the East Fork Jarbidge River, Slide Creek and Cougar Creek. For an overnight stay, Sawmill Campground is about 7.3 miles away.
