Reservation Divide is a hard hike of about 23 miles in the Plains/Thompson Falls Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in western Montana. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced with no designated route other than its own path. It is an out-and-back with a climb of about 1,460 feet, rising from roughly 6,000 feet to about 7,600 feet. Bikes and horses are both allowed on the trail, so it works for riders and pack animals. Because the route is a natural surface, plan on an off-road feel rather than a smooth, developed path. Burnt Fork Pinnacle and the Nine Mile Divide Trail lie about 4 miles away, and Cascade Campground and the Iron Mountain hike are both within about 7 miles.
