Little Wapiti is a moderate hike in the Hebgen Lake Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana, about 8.8 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 1,403 feet. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and is an out-and-back route that starts at a low point of about 7,489 feet and climbs to a high of about 9,066 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. The Wapiti hike lies about 1.6 miles away, and Wapiti Cabin is about 1.9 miles off. Little Sage and Eldridge are both within about 2.7 miles.
