Grizzly Mountain is a hard hike in the Three Rivers Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, about 16 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 2,395 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, starting at the Grizzly Mountain TH 182 - Southern parking area and climbing from a low point of about 3,279 feet to a high point of about 6,054 feet. The route is on natural surface, and the Forest Service allows both horses and bikes. It is open year-round, so plan for conditions that change with the seasons. Pete Creek Campground and Whitetail Campground sit about 3.6 miles away, and the Roderick Mountain hike is about 3.9 miles off. Red Top Campground is about 6.3 miles away.
