Grambauer is a hard, out-and-back hike in the Three Rivers Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. The trail climbs from about 2,567 feet to 7,369 feet, a total gain of about 4,915 feet over roughly 13.3 miles. It is a natural-surface route on Forest Service land, not accessible, and bikes are not allowed. The hiking season runs from roughly June 15 through October 31, and the climb is best planned around the warm months when the weather is most settled. Shannon Lake is about 0.8 miles away, and Williams Creek is about 1.4 miles off. Kootenai Creek is about 2.1 miles away, and the Bull Lake Area offers lake fishing about 7.7 miles from the trail.
