Edna Creek is a hard hike in the Great Bear Wilderness, part of the Hungry Horse Ranger District of Montana's Flathead National Forest. The route is an out-and-back of about 6.3 miles, with a total elevation gain of 2,489 feet, taking you from a low point of about 4,111 feet to a high of about 6,597 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is on natural surface. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail is open year-round, so plan for conditions that can change with the season. The Big River hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Logan-Dirtyface and Java Mtn. hikes are within about a mile. For an overnight base, Devil Creek Campground is about 4.8 miles off.
