David Nesbitt is an easy hike of about 2.4 miles in the Fortine Ranger District of Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and is an out-and-back route that gains about 511 feet from a low point of 6,817 feet to a high of 7,324 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. The climb is gentle, and the route is short enough to fit into a day of exploring the surrounding area. Several other trails sit close by. Highline is under a mile away, and Wolverine Lakes and Clarence Ness are each within about 2 miles. For an overnight stay, Little Therriault Lake Campground is about 2.3 miles off.
