Bluebird is a 5.5-mile out-and-back hike in the Fortine Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 5,725 feet to about 6,844 feet, a climb of roughly 1,063 feet one way, and is rated moderate. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. The route starts close to several other destinations. Little Therriault Lake Loop is about 0.7 miles away, and Little Therriault Lake campground is about 0.8 miles off. Big Therriault Lake Campground sits about 1.4 miles away. For paddling, the Tobacco River is about 8 miles from the trail.
