Curry is a moderate hike in the Missoula Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in western Montana, about 4 miles from the community of Westview Park. The trail is an out-and-back of roughly 3.8 miles, with a one-way climb of about 730 feet from a low point near 3,800 feet to a high of about 4,820 feet. The route is on natural surface, and the Forest Service allows both horses and bikes. That makes it a flexible option for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Missoula show July highs around 85°F with lows near 52°F, and September cools to highs around 73°F. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the higher part of the route run cooler. Several other trails start close by. Spring Gulch and Curry Gulch are mountain biking routes within half a mile, and Sawmill Gulch, Wooten Ranch is a hike about 0.6 miles away. For an overnight stay, Pattee Canyon Picnic Area is about 8 miles off.
