Crescent Mountain is a hard hike in the Seeley Lake Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in Montana, about 3 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 1,946 feet. The trail is an out-and-back that starts at the Morrell Falls Trailhead complex, and it rises from a low point of about 4,737 feet to a high point of about 7,179 feet. The route is on natural surface, and the Forest Service allows both horses and bikes. The trail is open year-round, and the parking area is at the Morrell Falls Trailhead. The climb is a steady one, and the high point makes this a mountain-top objective rather than a short outing. The Morrell Falls hike lies about 0.7 miles away, and Crescent Pass Trail #390 and the Crescent Lake mountain biking area are each about 1.1 miles off. For an overnight stay, Lake Inez Campground Complex is about 5.7 miles away.
