Cascadilla Creek is a 4.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Hungry Horse Ranger District of Flathead National Forest in Montana, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 3,579 feet to a high point of 4,464 feet, with an elevation gain of 875 feet, and is rated moderate. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows near 50°F and only about nine wet days, while winter highs stay near freezing. That station sits roughly 1,300 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses. It is open year-round, and the closest neighbors are Coal Creek, Rescue Creek and Stanton Lake, all within about 2 miles. Glacier National Park, a climbing area, lies about 9 miles away.
