Boney Gulch is a 5-mile out-and-back hike in the Tally Lake Ranger District of Flathead National Forest in northwest Montana, about 5.7 miles from the town of Round Prairie. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated moderate, with a one-way climb of 1,835 feet from a low point of about 3,400 feet to a high of about 5,170 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Several other trails sit close by. Tally Ridge and Tally Gorge are each about 1.5 miles away, and Stovepipe Canyon is about 2 miles off. Tally Lake Campground, about 2.3 miles away, is the closest place to camp.
