Main Wall is a bouldering area in Massachusetts, about 1.2 miles from the town of West Townsend. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Weeping Wall just 0.1 mile away and Old Rusk Quarry 0.2 mile off, so it works well as one stop in a day of exploring the surrounding crags. The area holds 12 boulder problems, all rated from V0 to V5 on the V scale. Most are V0 or V1, with Scarface at V5 as the hardest. Dan Knisell is the first ascender of several of the routes, including Deviant, Mister Hat and Black Glass. Mission Accomplished, a V4, was first climbed by Ryan Loiselle in 2018. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Fitchburg run to highs around 81°F in July, with lows near 61°F. Winters are cold, with January highs around 34°F. Other climbing areas close by include Hilltop and Haribo Boulder, both about 0.6 mile away. For time on the water, the Squannacook River is about 2.1 miles off, and the Brook Trail is about 2.2 miles away.
