Forest Boulder is a bouldering area in Massachusetts, about half a mile from the town of West Townsend. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Peter Pan Boulder, The Oak Flats and Bird Gang Boulder all within about a tenth of a mile. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated V0 or V1 on the V scale. Forest Faces is the easiest at V0, and Edge of the Forest and The Bookshelf are both V1. The routes are all boulders, and the grade range makes this a good place for climbers looking for a short, low-commitment session on the rock. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Fitchburg run to highs around 81°F in July, with lows near 61°F. Winters are cold, with January highs around 34°F. The Squannacook River, about 1.3 miles away, offers paddling, and the Trilogy East - Northeast Singletrack mountain bike trail is about 2.1 miles off.
