It sits right alongside the Bruise Brothers Wall and The Bowling Alley, both climbing areas within about a tenth of a mile, and Recess Rock is another 0.2 miles away. That makes the cluster a compact base for climbers looking to string together several crags in a single visit. The routes here range from sport and trad styles, with sport being the more common choice. Of the 17 routes listed, the easiest is Velveteen at 5.4, and the hardest is Suppress the Rage at 5.12a. The median grade is 5.10c. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 69°F with lows near 44°F, while May runs about 75°F by day and 53°F at night. For a change of pace, the Cliff Trail #206 and KOOMER RIDGE hikes are both about 4 miles away, and the Middle Fork Red River offers paddling roughly 6 miles off.
