Indian Chief Rock is a climbing area within City of Rocks National Reserve in Idaho, managed by the National Park Service. There is no fee to visit, so climbers can plan a trip without budgeting for an entrance charge. The most comfortable climbing months are typically June and September. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show June highs around 75°F and September highs around 74°F, with July and August warming to the mid-80s. Other climbing areas sit right beside Indian Chief Rock. BLM Rock - West Corridor is about 0.1 mile away and North Twin Sister about 0.2 mile. Marmot Boulder and Checkered Demon are both within about 1.7 miles.
