BLM Rock - West Corridor is a climbing area in Idaho's City of Rocks National Reserve, managed by the National Park Service. It sits within the reserve's network of climbing spots, and two other climbing areas, North Twin Sister and Indian Chief Rock, lie just 0.1 mile away. The area has five routes, with grades ranging from 5.10c to 5.11a. Three are trad routes and two are sport routes. Among them are Where Rangers Retire, a 5.10c sport route first climbed by Dave Bingham in 1990, and Scene of the Crime, a 5.11a sport route first climbed by Mark Hanselman in 1991. Summer is the warmest stretch for a visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rosette, Utah, run to highs around 86°F in July, while winter highs stay near 35°F. The station sits about 680 feet lower than the reserve, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. Other climbing is close by at Marmot Boulder, about 1.4 miles away, and Checkered Demon, about 1.6 miles away. For a walk, Register Rock is about 1.9 miles off and Flaming Rock Trail about 2.1 miles.
