Hostess Gully - West Corridor is a climbing area within Castle Rocks State Park in Idaho, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Castle Rock - East Face, Castle Rock - South Face and The Crack House all about 0.1 mile away. The area has 26 routes, with sport climbing making up the majority at 16 routes and trad at 8. The YDS grades run from 5.7 to 5.11d, with Southern Rock Opera at 5.11d being the hardest. Cup Cake at 5.7 and Zinger at 5.8 are two of the easier sport options. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Oakley show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 77°F, while July and August average about 86°F. That station sits roughly 1,600 feet lower than the park, so temperatures here run cooler.
