South Hills is a climbing area in southern Idaho, on Bureau of Land Management land within the Burley Field Office. The spot sits among a cluster of named climbing areas, which makes it a natural anchor for a full day of climbing in this part of the state. The climbing here runs from trad to sport, with routes ranging in grade from 5.7 to 5.11+. The median grade is 5.10b, and the area has 17 routes in total, so climbers can choose between easier and harder options. Several of the listed routes are marked as permanently closed to climbing, including Jug Massacre, Blarney Stone and Pole Cat, so check current status before heading out.
