Castle Rock - East Face is a climbing area in Castle Rocks State Park in Idaho, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Castle Rock - South Face, The Crack House and West Buttress - South all within about a tenth of a mile. The East Face has 11 routes, a mix of sport and trad climbing. Grades range from 5.8 to 5.12b, with the median at 5.10a. Deadwood is a trad route at 5.8, and It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City is a sport route at 5.12b. Smiley Face is the only mixed route, at 5.10a. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb.
