Sheep Creek is a hard hike of about 13.5 miles on an out-and-back route in the Palisades Ranger District of Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Idaho. The trail climbs from a low point of about 5,943 feet to roughly 9,613 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 2,937 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced. Horses and bikes are both allowed, so the route works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Several other destinations sit within a few miles. Little Sheep is about a mile away, and Riverside Park Campground and Day Use Area is about 2 miles off. Climbers can head to Weeping Cave, a little under 3 miles away.
