Rock Rabbit is an easy out-and-back hike in Idaho's Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, on the Krassel Ranger District of the Payette National Forest. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and runs about 8 miles, from a low point of 6,766 feet to a high of 8,361 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 28 feet. That makes it a gentle walk rather than a climb, and the route is on natural surface. The trail is open year-round, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. The trip is short enough to fit into a day, and the surrounding wilderness makes it a natural base for exploring the area's other trails. Nearby, McCalla Creek is about 2 miles away, and Mayhan Cutoff and Bismark are each within 3 miles. For an overnight stay, Chamberlain Basin campground sits about 8 miles off.
