Ramey Ridge is a hard hike in Idaho's Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, on the Krassel Ranger District of the Payette National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface out-and-back that climbs from about 4,800 feet to about 8,460 feet over a round-trip of about 26 miles. The one-way gain is roughly 2,600 feet. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The route is long and steep, so plan for a full day or more. Several other hikes sit within a few miles. Estep is about 1.5 miles away, Center Mountain about 2.4 miles, and Mayhan Cutoff about 2.7 miles. Rock Rabbit is about 4.5 miles off.
