Bismark is a hard hike in Idaho's Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, on the Krassel Ranger District of the Payette National Forest. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 6,629 feet to about 7,663 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,033 feet over a route of roughly 9.9 miles. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. The route is natural-surfaced and allows horses, but bikes are not permitted. That makes it a ride for pack animals rather than wheels. Several other hikes sit within a few miles, including McCalla Creek at about 2.6 miles and Rock Rabbit at about 2.7 miles. Lower Lodgepole is about 3.5 miles away, and Chamberlain Basin campground is about 7 miles off.
