Rim View is a hard out-and-back hike in the Minidoka Ranger District of Idaho's Sawtooth National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is 19 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,998 feet, starting at about 5,149 feet and reaching roughly 7,156 feet at the high point. Bikes and horses are both allowed on this natural-surface trail, so the route works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Steer Basin Campground sits about 1.8 miles away, and Ross Falls (Interp. Trail) is about 3.3 miles off. For a ski option, North Wahlstrom Loop is about 3.1 miles away, and Rimview Loop is about 3.3 miles away.
