Bostetter Loop is a hard out-and-back hike in Idaho's Sawtooth National Forest, within the Minidoka Ranger District. The route is about 11 miles long, with a total elevation gain of roughly 2,080 feet, and it starts at about 7,289 feet. The high point is 7,518 feet, and the climb is steady, with the steepest stretch at about 0.8 miles in, where the grade reaches 17 percent. The hike is a full-day affair, and the Forest Service manages the land. Plan on about five hours for the round trip. Several other hikes sit close by. Trapper Creek is about 0.4 miles away, Cotton Ridge about 0.8 miles, and Trout Creek about 1.1 miles. For an overnight stay, Bostetter Campground is about 2.1 miles away.
