Red Trail is a short, easy loop on Bureau of Land Management land in Idaho's Coeur D'Alene Field Office, about 0.5 miles long and rising about 150 feet from a low point of 2,394 feet to a high of 2,552 feet. It makes a quick stop for anyone exploring the trails and recreation sites around Coeur D'Alene. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Coeur D'Alene show July and August highs around 83°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter highs sit in the mid-30s. The trail sits close to several other outings. Orange Trail and Blue Creek Bay Recreation Site and Trail are each about 0.3 miles away, and Blue Trail is about 0.4 miles off.
