North Crystal Creek is an easy, out-and-back hike in Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, within the Westside Ranger District. The trail is about 2.2 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 59 feet, so it's a short walk with almost no climb. The route is on natural surface, and it is open to both horses and bikes. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail stays open year-round. The hike starts and ends at the same point, with the low point at about 6,533 feet and the high point at about 6,686 feet. It makes an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding area. Nearby, the Elk Meadows Loop is about 0.8 miles away, and the Crystal Creek and Pole Springs hikes are each about 1.2 miles off. For an overnight stay, Mink Creek Group Site Campground is about 3.1 miles away.
