Needles Summit is a hard hike in the McCall Ranger District of Idaho's Payette National Forest, about 9 miles from McCall. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 6,266 feet to 8,190 feet, with a total gain of 1,778 feet. The route is natural-surface and allows horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. Kennally Creek Campground sits about a mile away, and the East Fork Kennally Creek and Square Top hikes are both within about 3 miles. The Pins And Needles (McCall Area) climbing area is about 3.6 miles off.
