Lost Creek is a moderate, out-and-back hike in Idaho's Payette National Forest, within the New Meadows Ranger District. The trail runs about 5.3 miles, rising from a low point of 6,189 feet to a high point of 7,493 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 1,300 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is natural-surface, open to horses and bikes. The trail is not accessible, so plan on going on foot or by horse. It is open year round, and the climb works both ways. Nearby, Upper Lick Creek and Mickey Creek Trail sit about 2.2 miles away, and Rapid River is about 2.9 miles off. For an overnight stay, Huckleberry campground is about 5.4 miles away.
