Little Pine (Spooky) is an easy out-and-back hike in Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, within the Teton Basin Ranger District. The trail is about 2.5 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 293 feet, and it starts at the Little Pine/Spooky Trailhead, which is open year-round. The route is a natural-surface trail that is accessible to horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail, so plan for that if you need a paved or barrier-free path. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Driggs, at a lower elevation, show July highs around 83°F with lows near 48°F, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. Old Sheep is about 0.6 miles away, and Tie Canyon and Pine Creek Campground are each about 1.5 miles off. Upper Tie Canyon is about 1.7 miles away.
