Chapman Scenic is a 4.2-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Boise National Forest, within the Lowman Ranger District. The trail rises about 157 feet from a low point of 4,599 feet to a high of 4,797 feet, and it is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. The route is natural-surfaced and allows bikes, but it is not an accessible trail. The Warm Springs Trailhead (Airstrip) is the parking for the trip, and it sits about half a mile from the Warm Springs Guard Station campground. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Lowman weather station show July highs around 87°F with lows near 45°F, while winter highs there hover in the low 30s. That station sits roughly 877 feet below the trail's high point, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Nearby, the Bonneville campground is about a mile away, and the Ten Mile Ridge and Jackson Peak Trail hikes lie within about 5 miles.
