Black Warrior is a hard hike in Idaho's Boise National Forest, within the Idaho City Ranger District. The trail is an out-and-back route of about 20.8 miles, with a total elevation gain of 2,830 feet. It starts at a low point of about 5,700 feet and climbs to a high point of about 8,200 feet. The trail is on natural surface, and it is open to both horses and bikes. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is open year-round. The Neinmeyer Creek-Johnson Creek hike lies just 0.1 mile away, and Scenic Lake and Browns Lake are both within a few miles. For an overnight stay, Graham Cabin is about 4 miles off.
