Tall Wall is a climbing area in the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests in north Georgia, managed by the Forest Service. The area sits in a cluster of climbing spots, with White Wall and Patriot Wall about a tenth of a mile away. The climbing here ranges from sport routes on the lower end to trad routes on the upper end, with a mix of styles. The YDS scale runs from 5.9 up to 5.12. Sassafras and Sassparilla are sport routes at 5.9, and Cooter's Labyrinth is a sport route at 5.12. Among the trad routes, Crowder's Route is at 5.11 and Kids on Meth is at 5.11. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 69°F in April to 68°F in October, and the station sits roughly 900 feet lower than the area, so temperatures on the wall run cooler. For time off the rock, the Tsalaki Trail and Chunanee Falls Trail are both under 3 miles away, and the A.T. Whitley Gap Shelter is about 8.5 miles off.
