Patriot Wall is a climbing area in the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests in north Georgia, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Super Crack Area, Tall Wall and White Wall all about 0.1 mile away. The area has seven trad routes, with grades ranging from 5.6 to 5.10-. Scud Busters is the easiest at 5.6, and Crack of My Ass and Neglected are the hardest at 5.10-. The routes are all trad, and the first ascents of some are listed, including Wise Men Don't Know by Mike Crowder in 1990 and Patriot Games by Michael Crowder in 1991. For timing, fall is the most comfortable season. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 68°F with lows near 47°F, and the station sits roughly 900 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Summer brings more wet days, with July averaging 15. Nearby, the Tsalaki Trail and Chunanee Falls Trail are both within 3 miles, and Dukes Creek offers river fishing about 3.3 miles away.
