Anna Ruby Falls is a short, easy hike in the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests in north Georgia, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is paved and runs about 0.9 miles out and back, with a total elevation gain of about 550 feet. The high point is around 2,214 feet, and the low point is about 1,996 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Helen, Georgia, show October highs around 70°F with lows near 46°F, and April is similar at about 70°F by day and 43°F at night. That station sits roughly 700 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the falls run a little cooler. The hike takes about half an hour, and the trail is open year-round. Smith Creek Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Andrews Cove is about 1.7 miles off. Raven Cliff Falls, a climbing area, is about 5.7 miles away, and Dukes Creek offers river fishing about 6.1 miles away.
