Wildwater operates white water rafting trips on three southeastern rivers: the Chattooga (a National Wild and Scenic River near Long Creek, SC), the Ocoee near Ducktown, TN, and the Nantahala near Bryson City, NC. On the Chattooga, they offer family-friendly Mini Trips and Section III moderate rapids, plus advanced Section IV trips with steep drops through a wild gorge. The Ocoee features non-stop class III and IV rapids with big drops and dramatic hydraulics across its Middle and Upper sections. The Nantahala provides a 3-hour family trip with eight miles of class I and II waves, culminating in a class III drop at Nantahala Falls. Wildwater also operates three full-length zipline canopy courses at each river location, plus a KidZip for younger participants. The company offers onsite lodging—luxury cabins, yurts, and group camping—at the Chattooga and Nantahala locations. Founded in 1971, Wildwater is the oldest outfitter in the Southeast and pioneered commercial rafting on the Chattooga River.
