Andrews Cove is a 3.7-mile out-and-back hike in the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests in northeast Georgia. The trail starts at about 2,150 feet and climbs to roughly 3,120 feet, with the steepest stretch around the 1.5-mile mark. The climb is steep, with a 28% grade at that point, and the total elevation gain is about 1,400 feet for the full route. Bikes are allowed, and the trail surface is natural. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Helen, Georgia, put May highs around 77°F and October highs around 70°F, while temperatures at the higher end of the climb run cooler than those figures. Snow is rare, and the trail is open year-round. Several other spots sit within a short drive. Anna Ruby Falls is about 1.7 miles away and Rocky Mountain is about 1.6 miles away. A.T. Low Gap Shelter and Raven Cliff Falls are both within about 6 miles.
