Flatwoods Riding Loop is a 28-mile out-and-back trail in the Seminole Ranger District of the National Forests in Florida, managed by the Forest Service. The route is rated hard, with a total elevation gain of 255 feet, and it is a natural-surface trail that allows both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late fall through spring. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Lisbon, Florida, show November highs around 74°F with lows near 54°F, while July and August average highs of 90°F and about 16 wet days a month.
