Umpawaug Wall is a bouldering area in Connecticut, about 1.8 miles from West Redding. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Queen Boulder, Colossus Boulder and West Side all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the routes are rated from V0 up to V1-2. Tom's Route is the easiest at V0, and Indian Bee Catcher and Kingfisher Curse are both V1-2. The area is small and compact, so it works well as a short stop for climbers looking to warm up or round out a day on the rock. For a change of pace, Split Rock Trail and The Lariat are both within a mile. Paddlers can head to the Still River, about 4.8 miles away, or the Norwalk River, about 7.2 miles away.
