North Shore is a bouldering area in Connecticut, about 2.5 miles from Escoheag, Rhode Island, which makes it an easy addition to a day spent on the Rhode Island side of the state line. The area is a cluster of boulders rather than a single climb, and all nine of its routes are boulders. The grades run from V1 to V6, with the median around V3-. The easiest are Flake Route and Upper Right Prob, both V1, and the hardest is Right Foot Shimmy at V6. Mikes Highball is a V5 boulder with a first ascent by Mike Galoob. For a longer outing, the Canonicus Trail and Tippecansett Trail are both about a mile away, and The New Beach and Lookout Boulders are each about 1.5 miles off.
