Outcast Region is a bouldering area in Rhode Island, about 2.3 miles from the town of Escoheag. It sits among several other climbing spots, with The Hideout, Galactic Variant and Beached Whale all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the routes range from V1 to V7- on the V scale. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Coventry run from highs around 71°F in May to about 74°F in September, with July the warmest at about 85°F. The four routes at Outcast Region are all boulders. Skiver is the easiest at V1, and Shuriken is the hardest at V7-. Cheese Grater and Tension Blade are both V3. For a walk nearby, the Deep Pond trail is about 0.4 mile away and the Tippecansett trail about 0.6 mile. Anglers can head to the Wood River, roughly 3.5 miles off, or Breakheart Pond, about 4.3 miles away.
