Colossus Boulder is a bouldering area in Connecticut, about 1.8 miles from West Redding. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Queen Boulder and Umpawaug Wall each about 0.1 mile away, and West Side at a similar distance. The area is a cluster of boulders rather than a single climb, and the routes here are all bouldering grades from V0 to V5. The climbing is straightforward to reach. Split Rock Trail and The Lariat are both within a mile, and Boulder Trail is about 0.7 miles away. For paddling, the Still River is roughly 4.8 miles off. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury run from highs around 69°F in May to about 82°F in July, with September easing back to the mid-70s. The five routes here range from V0 to V5, with High Five at the easiest end and Vultures in Paradise at the hardest. All are bouldering, and all were first ascended by Morgan Patterson.
