Crossover Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about a mile from Sterling City. The route is 0.6 miles long, with a total climb of 73 feet from a low point of 267 feet to a high of 347 feet. The trail is flat for most of the way, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.45 miles, with a grade of 6 percent. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Groton show May highs around 66°F and September highs around 74°F, while July peaks near 81°F. The trail sits right next to the Nayantaquit Trail and Uncas Pond, both about 0.1 mile away. Balanced Rock Trail and the East Lyme Property climbing area are each about half a mile off.
