Byron's Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 0.4 miles long and rising just 12 feet from its low point of 492 feet to a high of 516 feet. It is a point-to-point route, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.27 miles in, with a 5% grade. The nearest town is Spring Hill, about 0.6 miles away. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Storrs run from highs around 76°F in June to about 73°F in September, with July highs near 80°F. Winters are cold, with January highs around 35°F. The trail takes about half an hour to complete. It sits within a cluster of short hikes, with Road Runner Trail, Juniper Trail and Barrows Trail each about half a mile away. Climbers can find the 50 Footer climbing area about 1.1 miles off.
